Family

Family is great.
You know those get-togethers where all the family comes and it's usually all older people?
Yeah, those.
I l-o-v-e those. It's the only time where people ask you questions or put you in weird situations.
I had one of those situations today. And honestly it wasn't awkward but their reaction was priceless. The question was, if I had a man yet or not. And I said I've never had one. The person questioning me was speechless. Then it was all 'good girl' and 'you don't need a man.' I feel like only family would ask that question, or older people at least.
But there's been other situations similar to that one that were slightly more awkward and you have to laugh it off. Got to love family, right? But those situations/topics are what makes those get-togethers interesting. ^-^

Chopsticks

It's official. I'm addicted to these things!
It's so bad that I cook noodles just so I can use them! And when the meal is something I can't use chopsticks with I get disappointed. I'm so strange, I know! But I blame it on my fasination for Asian culture. I say Asian because I love Chinese, Japanese, and Korean cultures. I love the Chinese language (and their invention of chopsticks); I love Japanese Manga and anime, and Korean music and variety shows are amazing! Sometimes I feel like I was an Asian born into an American body.
Anyways, chopsticks...love them. I don't know how I've survived so long without them. ;)

你好

I just put 'hello' in Chinese! Nǐ hǎo is the pinyin instead of the characters above. ^-^
I'm learning just how hard that language is! I've studied for a long time today and feel so...bleh afterwards. Almost like an information overload. It's pretty insane. But I've learned a lot. And I look forward to the day where I can speak fluently.
When that happens I will most definitely learn Korean next. I'd like to be able to read their tweets in Twitter and be able to watch a video without looking for the English subs. It's going to be awhile...but it will be worth it in the end.
Speaking of Twitter, I just joined. Like, 30 min ago. Follow me? You know you want tooooo.

Tea

No matter how hard I try I just cannot make bagged tea! Now, don't get me wrong..I can make some good tasting Sweet Tea but it's all those other teas!! They infuriate me.....No matter what I do, they always taste like water in the end. It's really sad.
Recently my mother and I went to a mall and went into a tea leaves store. It was impressive. And the samples we tried were pretty good! I just, can't seem to find any I enjoy drinking. The samples were good but there was still this..bleh, taste to them.
Eventually though, I think I will try using actual tea leaves. I hear that's the best, but I'm so scared to buy a bunch and then not like it...Oh what to do, what to do....

Personality Tests :)

I've always enjoyed these! It's fun to see what the test's results are. I just recently discovered, from watching a TV show called 5000 Questions(Foreign show, btw) that drawings can express your personality! O_O Say whaaaaa?
Yep! I said it! How you draw a certain picture will tell 'experts' your personality! I did one where I had to draw a pig. And there was stuff about the direction it pointed it in and the size of ears....but it was fun! Well, I couldn't stop there....
I started to look more up. I sort of drifted away from the drawing part and just went looking for personality tests. haha! I found three pretty good ones(the pig is included):
Pig: http://drbj.hubpages.com/hub/Pig-Personality-Test
Shapes: http://drbj.hubpages.com/hub/Simple-Symbol-Personality-Test
One Question: http://drbj.hubpages.com/hub/One-Question-Personality-Test
>>>The one below is posted by the same person that posted the same ones above. I didn't find it as interesting but that's just because I'm not immersed in the celebrity world. lol

   Anyways! I hope you found these just as much fun as I did. :}

Animal Farm

I understand that this book is filled with historical parallels and all but I really don't like it. I just had to take a test and am in the middle of writing a paper for it. It's pure torture...
Ok, not really..but you get my point. It feels like a waste of time to study this book just to forget it later. Although, it may come in handy someday. Lesson learned: "Never try to make a Utopia or you will fail and all die in the end." Yup, that pretty much sums it up.

Oh, and feed your animals or they will rebel and kill you all. Just sayin'.....

Cooking

I love to cook! It's one of my passions...I think. Typically, I don't like to cook desserts or little snacks to have around the house but I do like to cook BIG meals! Preferably I like to use the grill.
Well, just recently I found this list of 100 Chinese dishes to try before you die. Looking through it, I realized that not all of them are from China but it's close enough. :) Some that popped out to me the most though was this hand-pulled cotton candy called Dragon's Beard..that looked soo good! There were weird things listed too, like Beggar's Chicken, Chicken Feet (it's literally chicken feet), Century Egg (an egg that's stored for a month or more), Grass Jelly, and Fried Milk. Yes, there are some weird dishes out there! My goal is to try/cook all 100 dishes. It will be a lot of work but it would definitely be worth it!
